Washington D.C. – June 9, 2025 — Tech-Moms is thrilled to announce that we have been selected as a Code for America Innovator Award recipient, receiving the Community Partnership award! This national recognition honors organizations that are crafting tech solutions to our toughest challenges and building community-centered partnerships between government and the private sector.

As a recipient of the Code for America Community Partner Award, Tech-Moms is recognized for our impactful work in helping individuals upskill and train in order to prepare for meaningful careers in technology. Through accessible education, career mentorship, and community engagement, Tech-Moms supports workforce re-entry and addresses underemployment among those who haven’t always had access to opportunities in tech.

We are especially proud that our three founders—Mikel Blake, Robbyn Scribner, and Trina Limpert—were able to attend the Code for America Summit in Washington, D.C. to accept this incredible honor in person. Their presence at the Summit highlights the importance of grassroots leadership and the power of a shared mission to uplift underrepresented communities in tech.

The award includes special recognition at the annual Summit, opportunities for national collaboration, and a platform for Tech-Moms to contribute to conversations around workforce development, digital opportunity, and public-private partnerships. It’s more than an award—it’s a celebration of the work our community is doing to build a more just and innovative future.

“It is such an honor to be recognized by Code for America, an organization committed to using tech to build stronger communities and address our nation’s most pressing challenges. We are so grateful for the public entities we partner with here in Utah, and we are looking forward to collaborating with organizations across the country that we connected with during the summit. Great things are happening in the world of Civic Tech!” ~Robbyn Scribner, Tech-Moms Co-Founder.

This honor reflects the tireless efforts of our instructors, alumni, staff, and partners who believe in the power of education, mentorship, and community. We’re deeply grateful to Code for America for this recognition and look forward to continuing our mission to support individuals as they build better careers.
