Talent Ready Utah Grants Are Empowering Tech-Moms in the Workforce

Tech-Moms is thrilled to introduce a new Returnship program in collaboration with Talent Ready Utah (TRU), offering Salesforce certifications and work experience to returners looking to re-enter the workforce after a career break. The initiative aims to provide four Returnships, empowering workers to contribute a local organization, build their skills and gain professional certifications. The program development began in early February, highlighting a commitment to supporting women in their professional journey.

Through the grant opportunity with Talent Ready Utah, Tech-Moms is excited to welcome Anna Gallagher as the Salesforce Project Manager, who will oversee the project and help with implementation. We would also like to welcome Cheryl Brady, Rachel Benjamin and Kim Starr as our Salesforce Returners. These talented women will be learning all things Salesforce, while building several aspects of our organization into this industry leading platform.

The people at the helm of this new program will be our very own Trina Limpert as the Executive Lead, Kavya Nanthankuma our Salesforce Admin Lead, and Clay Waugh an External Consultant who will provide industry insight and strategic planning. The combined experience of these individuals will allow Tech-Moms to scale our organization, while providing valuable Salesforce apprenticeships to several of our Alumni.

"[This] program equips our interns with invaluable skills and experience, enabling them to excel in Salesforce administration roles while building operational systems that support Tech-Moms' growth. We value our community engagement and collaborative partnership with Talent Ready Utah and look forward to the positive impact on our returners and the companies that benefit from the valuable skills they are gaining." - Trina Limpert

Through the support of this grant, the Returners will begin a self-paced study of Salesforce and learn and utilize Agile Development in order to get their Salesforce Associate as well as the Salesforce Admin Certifications. This program will help build critical infrastructure for our organization, so that we can expand our reach and help more Utah women gain successful employment after completing our programs.

As part of this training program, Tech-Moms has extended invitations to multiple applicants to shadow the project and obtain their Salesforce Certifications as well. This opportunity will enable six more women to earn their certifications through collaborative learning with peers and mentors, all while contributing to the development of the project on Salesforce.

We are thankful that Talent Ready Utah has granted us the opportunity to offer these Returnships, and we are fortunate to have such a large pool of talented and driven women as a part of our community and now our team. We’re excited to see what the future holds!
